Obsessions

I realized today that there are a lot of random things in life that I occupy my thoughts with. I then started to take note of all the obsessions and interests I have that are either unhealthy or just plain stupid. Here we go, cats.

1. Taylor Swift. I think she is the cutest girl ever. I have her first album and know the words to too many of her songs. And I know some of her songs on guitar. Sigh.

2. Insane Clown Posse. This started as a joke. I thought ICP was incredibly stupid and hilarious. I then wondered if they took themselves seriously. They had to do all this with their tongue pressed firmly in their cheeks, right? No. They’re serious about what they do. And that fact makes them even more hilarious to me. Either way, Win and I have been watching their videos and interviews recently. It started as a joke. It’s gone too far.

3. Facebook. I have to stop checking it everytime I’m in my room. The highlights of my boring days are when I see new notifications in the bottom right. It’s a disease. I wish I was in the 70s so I could only communicate with people through their house phones, the mail, and in person. Things would be a lot simpler.

4. Plaid. I really like it. Button up shirts are amazing. Especially the ones with the snap buttons. A victory in the field of fashion.

5. Finding new music. Music is a major part of my life. Ya-dah ya-dah, everyone says that. I play guitar, have 20GB worth of music on my hard drive, and take my iPod everywhere. Anyway, I am always always looking for new music. I spend a lot of time searching the internet for new artists or songs. I listen to a new band over and over until I am sick of them, then go off to find something new. It’s probably a bad cycle.

6. Baked Beans. Nature’s gift to man, presented in saucy glory.
